Testimonial from the first Australian customer - Specialised Chicken Services.
Although the new advance spiral has
only been in operation for 1 week here at Specialised Chicken Services, we are already seeing the benefits.
The logistics of our operations on the factory production floor have changed considerably. We
have more space in the production area and much of the manual handling has been eliminated! Production can now be increased by approximately 45 percent.
The quality of the spiral is better than we could have hoped; it’s a very well made product. We thank Shaughan at Symetec, the Australian agent for Advanced Freezing Systems, for his help and professional advice
during the purchase - well done.
Advanced Freezers has been a very professional company to deal with throughout the negotiating and purchase period of the spiral. We wish them luck with the Australian market
and would be happy to talk to any prospective purchasers in Australia about the spiral freezer.
David Davenport.
The first module spiral freezer to be installed in Australia by Advanced Food Systems has proved an instant success for Symetec and
its customer Specialised Chicken Services (SCS).
SCS spent two years researching everything they could find about spiral freezers knowing that the time was fast approaching that they would need to install one
for their thriving company.
Of major concern to SCS was how permanent a traditional build spiral was, and that once the commitment was made there would be no turning back.
It was certainly a hindrance to SCS to having made a decision on a spiral quite some time ago.
Symetec presented SCS with the new to Australia concept of a completely pre-built spiral freezer in a fully
welded hygienic stainless steel box which could be transported and installed as easy as a 20 foot container, and the order was placed.
It was important to have all the refrigeration plant and other services
ready in position to hook up, and once the Advanced spiral module arrived on site, unloading, positioning and connection of services was completed in less than 4 days. SCS chose to pour a concrete pad and sit the
unit outside the factory, while cutting the insulated wall panel to allow the front face of the module to sit flush with the inside wall of the factory.
It’s an extremely tidy and good looking installation,
and facilitates hot product from the fryer directly entering the in-feed of the spiral, while the out-feed overhead can bring frozen product down to floor level over the top of the other equipment directly into a
packing area.
The installation was so easy that only one trained and expert Advanced engineer was required to travel from Holland and be on site to make the positioning, check-over and commissioning once
services were attached.
The spiral freezer was pushed into production within 24 hours of commissioning and operator training, and to date has not missed a beat.
For SCS, the major hurdle of a permanent
installation versus a module design that can be repositioned anywhere within the factory, or moved to a new location, or even sold at a later date has been satisfied. SCS have also realised that there has been no
shortcut to quality, and the Advanced Food Systems engineering expertise has shone through in quality choice of components and quality build.
